- Kathy

At Chairy Blossom, we love giving well-loved furniture a beautiful new life. Each custom piece is carefully prepared, refinished, and given proper curing time so it can leave our shop with a beautiful, durable finish.
By placing a deposit and scheduling custom work, you agree to the following policies.
Scheduling & Deposit
A 50% deposit is required to secure your place on our schedule. Your project is not considered
scheduled until the deposit has been received. All deposits are non-refundable. The remaining balance is
due before or at the time your completed furniture is picked up or delivered.
Project Timeline & Curing
Custom furniture pieces will remain with Chairy Blossom for a minimum of four weeks. We use Sherwin-
Williams Cabinet & Trim paint, a high-quality, durable finish designed for cabinetry and furniture. Because
the finish requires approximately 21 days to fully cure, pieces are kept with us long enough to allow that
curing period before release whenever possible. Completion dates are estimates. Repairs, humidity,
curing conditions, product availability, or other circumstances may occasionally extend the timeline.
Furniture Condition
Furniture must be brought to Chairy Blossom in clean condition and ready for refinishing. Please remove
all personal belongings and thoroughly clean the piece before drop-off. Pieces with excessive dirt, grease, pet hair, smoke residue, odors, food residue, or other heavy buildup may require additional cleaning and may be subject to an additional preparation fee. Please disclose any known damage, previous repairs, odors, stains, or other concerns before work begins.
Repairs & Existing Damage
We carefully inspect each piece before refinishing; however, vintage and previously used furniture may
have imperfections related to age and normal use. Loose joints, damaged veneer, broken drawers,
missing hardware, water damage, or repairs beyond normal refinishing preparation may result in an
additional charge. Any significant unexpected repair will be discussed with you before additional work is
completed. Refinishing cannot always eliminate every dent, scratch, grain variation, previous repair, or
characteristic of older furniture.
Color, Stain & Finish Selection
Final paint color, stain color, sheen, hardware, and other design choices must be approved before work
begins. Paint and stain colors can appear different depending on lighting, surrounding colors, wood
species, grain, and screen settings. Natural wood and previously stained surfaces may absorb stain
differently from one area to another. Changes requested after work has begun may result in additional
charges and additional completion time.
Pickup & Delivery
Customers may drop off and pick up furniture at Chairy Blossom in Baldwin, Wisconsin by appointment.
Pickup and delivery may also be available for a distance-based fee. Pricing will be provided based on location and the size of the furniture. Furniture must be accessible and ready for pickup at the agreed-upon time.
Completed Pieces & Storage
Customers will be contacted when their furniture is ready. Unless other arrangements have been made,
completed furniture should be picked up within 7 days of notification. Furniture left beyond the agreed
pickup period may be subject to a storage fee
.
Caring for Your Refinished Furniture
Even after the initial curing period, refinished furniture should be treated with care. Avoid harsh or
abrasive cleaners, excessive moisture, standing water, and extreme heat. Use coasters, placemats, and
protective pads as appropriate, and avoid placing heavy or sharp objects directly on newly refinished
surfaces.
Hand-Finished Character
Every Chairy Blossom piece is refinished by hand. Minor variations are normal and are part of the
character of professionally refinished, one-of-a-kind furniture rather than factory-produced furniture. Our
goal is to honor the character of your furniture while giving it a beautiful new life.
